About the Department:

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the vibrant departments of Sasurie College of Engineering, offers B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering and M.E. Power Electronics and drives. UG course was established in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 60 students and PG course was established in the year 2010 with an annual intake of 18+2.

It has state of art laboratories for AC Machines lab, DC Machines lab, Engineering practices Lab, Control and instrumentation Lab, Power Electronics lab, Power Electronics and Drives lab, Power system simulation Lab. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculties with different Specialization. The department has organized several national level seminars, symposiums, Conferences and workshops for the benefit of the students, faculty members and researchers.

The department offers value added courses apart from the regular subject which enable the students acquire marketable skills. The department library and central library has 4298 volume of books, 6 national journals, and 5 international Journals. The department has liberally been producing efficient engineers with outstanding academic and overall performance.

The Electrical Engineering is one of the major department in the engineering profession and its principles are involved in design, study, development and construction of nearly all of the Electrical devices and Electronic devices. Continued research and development have led to better machines and processes helping the mankind.

Electrical engineers are employed in an enormous range of technical areas including: Electrical Maintenance, Power Plants, Automatic Controls, Electrical Computer-Aided Design, Energy Management, Facilities maintenance, just to name a few. Electrical engineering is a challenging, rewarding, and highly respected profession. The Department regularly organizes a series of lectures by academicians and professionals of the highest repute, which lay stress on the latest innovative technologies in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Long Term Goal
  • To impart education to become highly competent professional in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with trained skills to meet contemporary and upcoming challenges to serve the society.
Short Term Goal
  • To create technical manpower for meeting the current and future demands of industry.
  • To develop students with innovative skills and positive attitude through effective teaching learning process.
  • Provide advanced engineering research for the graduates to equip with broad intellectual spectrum for diverse and competitive career paths.
